This is the dumbest flyer I’ve made in years. This is probably the biggest show we’ve played ever. We go on insanely early so a lot of you won’t see us but we don’t care. We finally get to play the Troubadour. “Later, small time”

Our shows at Cheetah’s have hit legendary status. The dancers there get excited when they see us walk through the door. This video shot by Tyson is a small taste of what you’ve been missing. The club has an adamant “don’t take pictures of the dancers” policy so if you see our singer look like he is singing to someone, that is who he is singing to. Also some of ths songs get cut off because our singer is dancing with a dancer or two. So what we’re trying to say is “COME TO THE NEXT CHEETAH’S GIG!”
This show is going to be pretty huge. Bobot has supported us since jump. Summer Vacation is one of my newest favorite bands. Tiltwheel is one of my old favorite bands and we’ve never played with them.
French Exit rocked so very hard at the May Day Mini Fest that we begged for them to be added to this already kick ass show. These strip club shows usually have a 5 dollar list and 10 dollar cover at the door. NOT THIS TIME. Desiree, the booker, threw that out the window. Hope to see you there. STRIP CLUB SHOW!!!!!!

I want to get THIS flyer out there though. Anthony Booth from French Exit puts together a big May Day show every year. He asked me for a venue (Blue Star) and a band (Stab City). He did everything else. This will be a great show.
It is a DAY TIME show. I am way determined to get this to end at 8pm so that people who work can go to bed the next day. Should be rad.
In other news, we will be playing our first show at the Troubadour in July. Off With Their Heads asked us to be local support. We go on at 7:30 and the bill is pretty fucking amazing.
We are pretty stoked. The Troubadour is one of the few “legendary” Los Angeles venues I care about. I’ve been wanting to play it forever. Sunset Strip clubs that rhyme with the Frisky and the Wiper Room have been jokes longer than they’ve been clubs. The Troubadour continues to have fucking excellent nights. We’ll be promoting the shit out of that.
This is sort of a last minute one. Great bill. Super excited to play with Mr. T’s vets, the Monolators. They’ve been killing it for years.
I like to picture each character from Pulp Fiction saying the band name.

We haven’t played a lot of shows lately. Truthfully, we’ve been a bit burnt out since Dre Day. We decided that we wanted to take a break on shows and work on new songs. We feel that some of the songs we play live, we’ve outgrown. None of your favorites. They’ll continue to be played but some of the ones we NEVER took out of our set, could sit on a shelf for a bit. So we’ve just been doing little songwriting sessions at Flaco’s place. We’ll take em into the studio soon.
So lately, we’ve started to get that itch. We wanna play live again soon. We got big big big big shows planned.
For one thing, there is a show with the captivating Amanda Jones and the Sugar Tits and La Cita. La Cita is a fun place to drink, hang out and play a show. The drinks are cheap and the cover is free. I made the flyer from a Matzo Ball Mix package. The show is on the second day of Passover.
